SmartFan Nimbus-HP is a compact, TRIAC based AC fan, pump and motor control designed for
OEM applications in the HVAC, electronics and industrial controls markets. This microprocessor based control is ideal for applications including environmental control (temperature, humidity, pressure, flow), clean room pressurization, equipment cooling, exhaust ventilation and heating/air conditioning systems. Nimbus-HP is designed to control induction motors (shaded pole or permanent split capacitor) that have been approved for voltage control by the motor manufacturer.

Control Resources Introduces New Fan Speed Control for
4-Wire Fans |
SmartFan Cirrus-6 is a digital DC fan speed control and alarm that offers an off-the-shelf cooling solution for 4-wire DC fans and blowers. Cirrus-6 can control and monitor tach pulses from up to six 12, 24 or 48 VDC fans with open collector or 0-12 VDC control signal requirements. The controller accepts fan speed commands (including on/off) and provides individual pass/fail fan status via an I2C interface. The I2C interface also provides temperature readings from an on-board thermistor and EEPROM storage.
The Cirrus-6 can be configured to control fan speed based on temperature or analog control signal (PWM, 5.0 VDC). Configuration of the Cirrus-6 is settable via I2C interface or options can be set at the factory to your specifications. Special and custom configurations are available. SmartFan Stratus has been very successful in the OEM marketplace since its product introduction in 2006. In response to customer feedback and internal VFD design innovations, Control Resources is pleased to announce the release of SmartFan Stratus II variable fequency drive.
SmartFan Stratus II is a microprocessor based variable frequency drive designed for OEM applications in HVAC, electronic and industrial motor control markets. Stratus II is designed to control single and three-phase fans, motors and pumps in AC motor speed control applications including environmental control (temperature, humidity, pressure, flow), clean room pressurization, equipment cooling, exhaust ventilation and heating/air conditioning systems.
Design enhancements incorporated into the SmartFan Stratus II include:
- UL Recognition
- Increased capacitance for hi-torque applications
- Allows analog control and Modbus functionality at the same time
- Improved response time (control signal input - output regulation)
- Improved control from potentiometer input
- USB interface (coming soon)
On-board programming allows easy set-up for AC motor speed control based on an analog control input. For added versatility, Stratus II can be programmed and controlled using Modbus or USB interfaces. The ease of operation, small size, and innovative microprocessor design make Stratus II the most cost effective variable frequency drive available for low power AC motor speed control.
